Your sponsorship of the Annual Dinner supports the Society’s two-fold mission to educate the public about the critically important work of the courts in protecting personal rights and freedoms, as well as in resolving the myriad of disputes that arise within the state, and preserve the rich history of Florida's judicial system.  A portion of the sponsorships are tax-deductible.

Highlights of the 2015 Annual Dinner include; 

  • Presenting the Lifetime Achievement Award to Talbot “Sandy” D’Alemberte;
  • The first public unveiling of the Historical Society commissioned portraits of five Justices;   
  • Pulitzer Prize author & talented speaker Gilbert King, author of "Devil in the Grove:Thurgood Marshall, the Groveland Boys, and the Dawn of a New America,"
  • Chief Justice Jorge Labarga’s update on the State of the Court; and,
  • Hank Coxe, will be the master of ceremonies for evening, and will assure we are adjourned by 9 PM.

This Annual Dinner the main fund raising effort of the year for the Historical Society to carry out our mission to educate the public about the critically important work of the courts in protecting personal rights and freedoms.  


The doors open at 5:30pm with a cocktail reception on the first floor the University Center ClubDinner starts at 7:00pm followed by the award presentation
