Sponsorship of a Supreme Evening 2017

Your generous support of this event allows the Society to take an even more active role in honoring and fulfilling the need to preserve the rich history of the Florida Supreme Court. Your tax deductible contribution makes possible the activities and projects that are critical to carrying out our mission.


Highlights of a Supreme Evening 2017 include;   

  • The keynote speaker will be Jeffrey Rosen, President and CEO of the National Constitution Center, professor at The George Washington University Law School, and author of the book Louis Brandeis: American Prophet.
  • Chief Justice Jorge Labarga’s update on the State of the Court; and,
  • The Historical Society will posthumously honor Janet Reno with its Lifetime Achievement Award at the Annual Dinner.
  • Hank Coxe, will be the master of ceremonies for the evening, and will assure we are adjourned by 9:15 PM
  • For out-of-town guests, hotel details are provided below.

This annual dinner event is the main fund raising effort of the year, which enables the Historical Society to carry out its mission of educating the public about the critically important work of the courts in protecting personal rights and freedoms.

The following options are available for sponsors this year, as well:.  
  • The option of a receipt for the tax year 2016 or tax year 2017 for the portion of the sponsorship that may be tax-deductible as a charitable contribution.
  • The additional option to donate some or all of your sponsored seats. If you are not planning to use all of the seats in your sponsorship, consider donating them back the Historical Society to share them with members of the Court, legal aid attorneys, volunteering law students, and members of the Supreme Court staff.
  • A FSCHS staff member will reach out to the primary contact you designate for this event, to confirm name and details for publication of your sponsorship.
